A Nine-Month Program for Men coming Out of Prison
Timothy House is a place for continuing the discipleship process of
formerly incarcerated men who have shown evidence of
repentance, conversion, and a desire for continuing spiritual growth.
The goal of this program will be to help men transition back to society
as productive citizens, caring fathers, loving husbands, responsible
employees, and fellow brothers in Christ.
Since 1970, We Care Program has placed assistant chaplains in
numerous prisons in Alabama and other states. Most of these
chaplains are involved in full time prison ministry, each working in an
assigned prison. They teach Bible studies and other classes. They
help the state chaplains with their work. They learn to know the
inmates as they spend time ministering to them. Some of these
inmates have become Christians, and as far as we can tell, they are
sincere in their relationship with God, are accountable to spiritual
mentors, and are submitted to the authorities that God has placed in
their lives. We Care chaplains are able to observe the victories and
struggles of spiritual growth that these inmates go through and
encourage and give spiritual guidance during these times.
Evidence seems to indicate that certain inmates are serious about
serving the Lord and forsaking the patterns of sin in which they used
to live. We believe these men have experienced true repentance
and are remorseful for their past sins against God and their fellow
men. They have been involved in the chapel and personal growth
programs and have shown evidence of a desire to live godly lives.
We believe these men have been changed by God!
Timothy House exists to offer this type of individual a brand new
start.
