Sid
Chapman
Beginning of current
service with We Care: May 2006
Hometown - Monroeville, AL
Sid’s prison
ministry began on Easter Sunday, 1999, with weekly visitation
in the Monroe County Jail. In August, 2001, he became a regular
mentor in the Faith Dorm at Fountain Correctional Facility in
Atmore. While still continuing those areas of ministry, in May
2006, Sid began overseeing ministry teams going
into the Camden Community Based Facility, a new ministry
outreach for We Care Program. He also serves as a deacon in his
local church. Sid loves “just spending time” with his wife
Susan and their two children, who are currently in college. He
strives to become a complete Matthew 25 (verses 31-46) minister,
and says, “There is no greater joy, no place I’d rather be, than
sharing the passion of Christ for prisoners, with prisoners!”
