Ed & Doris Ranck
Beginning of current service with We Care Program:  September 2005

Moved to Alabama from Powhatan, VA

As the host couple at We Care headquarters in Atmore, Ed and Doris fulfill many responsibilities including food preparation and organization for various We Care events, as well as maintenance and upkeep around the headquarters building.  They also serve as house parents for young adult interns, and Ed works part time as chaplain at Atmore Work Center, a facility in Atmore, AL, for 175+ men who are nearing release from prison.  Ed likes to hike and finds pleasure in hands-on work and service projects.  Doris’ interests include decorating, arranging flowers, planning fun activities, and being involved in women’s ministry.  Ed and Doris enjoy traveling together, and reading is a favorite pastime for both of them.  Their family currently consists of two adult sons and one daughter-in-law.
